My sweet baby girl is 16 and I am so proud of the young lady she growing up to be. She is amazingly beautiful inside and out.On her birthday she had flowers delivered from her Grandma. I let her play hooky from school and we went out for sushi at her favorite sushi restaurant.
Her Dad and I wanted to surprise her with a car for her birthday. It was such a hard secret to keep, we had been planning for about a year. Her Dad had found a great starter car and put a lot of hours into replacing parts and getting it running well in the months before her birthday.
The day of the big surprise, I parked her car in front of her favorite ice cream shop. We had a big group of people met at Leatherbys to celebrate her birthday together. We happened to get seated right in front of the window where her car was parked! When she wasn't looking, I snuck out put a big red bow on the hood.
On the card, it said that her dad, stepmom, Russ and myself wanted her to have something very special on her 16th. Her car keys were beautifully wrapped in a jelwery box and she was anticipating a special necklace. I love watching the faces of Jackson and Mckenzie (their half sister) because they were in on the secret and were so excited for her.
SHE HAD NO IDEA.
It was perfect.
