Natural History Museum

I got a great deal on tickets for the Natural History Museum through Groupon.  Ashleigh and Russ hadn't been yet so it was fun to go together.

This was Jackson's 3rd time and he still loves it.

Nice to meet you

Flood and drain the Salt Lake valley to see what  parts were underwater

This is an interactive exhibit with recordings of common words in different tribe languages. The kids would say the word out loud and it would be recorded and compared to each other.

Tell us your worst weather experience

Watching their jump on a Richter scale and building a structure to withstand an earthquake

The kids had a contest to see who could build the strongest dam. This was a slanted table with a steady flow of water to the bottom to emulate water erosion. I think they spent the most time at this exhibit.

Treasures from the gift shop. A dreamcatcher for Ash and a scorpion necklace for Jackson.

Little Moments - Fresh cut flowers

My yard is still a bit of a jungle. Luckily for me it's a colorful jungle with a lot of overgrown rose bushes. I love having fresh cut flowers in the house.

End of year Carnival... next stop, 6th grade

Jackson's school sure goes out with a bang! The last day of school is a half day, followed by a carnival on the back field.  He had fun getting his yearbook signed, playing games and running around with his friends on the rides.
