Around the world

We celebrated New Years all throughout January; in different ways & from different cultures. We made Rabanada from Brazil; which is similar to French toast. We enjoyed "Auld Lang Syne" from Scotland. We played the Orange game from Canada and giggled the entire time! (Which Jackson always won)

We also did the German fortune telling game by dripping wax into a bowl of water and then guessing what's to some in the following year from the shapes that form from the wax. Jackson's was about exploring, mine was gardening and Ashleigh's was something that had to do with a monkey. haha.

We also made banners, which is a New Years tradition from Vietnam. We wrote new years wishes on long sheets of red paper, decorated them & hung them in the dining room. They were about getting a dog, being happy and mine was about the kids having a blast together this year.
